United States of America – Adverse weather conditions

Share to:

The United States Postal Service (USPS) advises that Winter Storm Fern is significantly affecting the US and over 230 million people. The storm is bringing a dangerous mix of heavy snow, freezing rain, sleet and bitter cold, leading to major disruptions and power outages. It is expected to cause catastrophic ice accumulations, resulting in long-duration power outages, extensive tree damage, and extremely dangerous or impassable conditions. The storm's path will bring snowfalls exceeding 12 inches across the Ohio Valley, Mid-Atlantic and Northeast, causing widespread service disruption to the collection and delivery of domestic and international mail (letter-post, parcel-post and EMS items).
