Sociedad Estatal Correos y Telégrafos S.A., S.M.E. (Correos) advises that it has implemented a new messaging system with the customs authorities, which required the development of new internal software at Correos.
This implementation is currently causing delays in the customs processing of items destined for the Canary Islands (postal codes 35XXX and 38XXX), as well as Ceuta and Melilla, and, to a lesser extent, certain items arriving from outside the European Union and addressed to any of Spain’s other postal codes.
Correos is actively working to resolve the issue.
