CTT Correios de Portugal informs that due to storm Joseph, the entire country is currently experiencing severe weather conditions, including strong winds and heavy rainfall.
These adverse weather conditions have resulted in fallen trees, blocked roads, localized flooding and unsafe circulation conditions, preventing the normal collection and delivery of domestic and international mail (letter-post, parcel-post and EMS items).
In addition, prolonged power outages have been reported in several areas, disrupting communications, operational systems and the functioning of sorting and distribution centres. This is causing further disruption to the normal processing and dispatch of mail.
