Mauritius Post has informed that the Mauritius Meteorological Services has issued a torrential rain warning and the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Centre has issued a related communiqué. Accordingly, the Government of Mauritius has suspended work for public sector employees on 30 April 2025.
This suspension will affect the collection, transportation, processing and delivery of inbound and outbound mail (letter-post, parcel-post and EMS items), thereby leading to delays in the delivery of mail across the country.
