Hongkong Post has advised that a tropical cyclone warning was issued on the morning of 1 September 2023 as Typhoon Soala hit the territory.
The processing and conveyance of all inbound, outbound and local mail was disrupted, affecting the quality of all services, including outbound and inbound EMS, air parcels and air registered mail. It is expected to take a few days to clear the backlogs and return to normal operations.
