The Office of Posts and Telecommunications (OPT-PF) notifies that a general strike began in New Caledonia on 9 March 2026, which is currently slowing down mail delivery services.
If the situation deteriorates and seriously hampers OPT-PF's mail processing services, it will respond by increasing mail retention times for all categories of mail (letter-post, parcel-post and EMS items).
