Hongkong Post has advised that a No. 8 tropical cyclone warning signal was issued on 13 November 2024 in relation to tropical cyclone Toraji.
As a result, the processing and conveyance of all inbound, outbound and local mail will be subject to disruption. Quality of service for all mail (letter-post, parcel-post and EMS items) will be affected, including outbound and inbound Speedpost (EMS), air parcel and registered airmail services. Hongkong Post expects the disruption to last for at least a day before it is able to clear the accumulated backlog.
