International Airmail Rates to go up by 10 cents from 1 March 2022

Share to:

SINGAPORE, 25 January 2022 – To mitigate the rising costs of international postal settlement fees, Singapore Post Limited (SingPost) will be adjusting the rates for international airmail from 1 March 2022.

International postal settlement rates have progressively increased over the years due to annual fee revisions made by the Universal Postal Union (UPU). This settlement fee is payable to postal organisations of destination countries for mail delivery.

From 1 March 2022, airmail rates for letters, printed papers and postcards will increase by $0.10. Airmail rates for aerogrammes and postcards will also increase by $0.10 per piece. The Registered Service (International) fee remains unchanged at $3.60.

Postage rates for international packages (Basic Package and Registered Package) as well as international surface mail rates will also remain unchanged.

SingPost last revised international airmail rates in 2019. Prior to 2019, SingPost has been absorbing the yearly increase in payment made to foreign postal operators. Since then, SingPost has made progressive increases periodically to international airmail rates to reflect the actual cost of conveyance.

The new postage rates for international mail can be found in Appendix 1.
