Effective 1 November 2026, SingPost transitions all commercial shipments bound for 16 European Union destinations to a mandatory Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) framework to eliminate border delays and unexpected doorstep charges for recipients. Powered by an API integration with Zonos on the ezy2ship platform, the system automates real-time calculations for applicable VAT, the €3 flat duty on goods up to €150, the new €2 customs handling fee per declaration line, and mandatory structured Product Identifiers (PIDs) without requiring advance product catalogue uploads. Personal gifts valued at €45 or less remain exempt from customs duties and VAT.
