SingPost Launches Singapore's First National Philately Website to Mark World Post Day 2026
9 October 2026
Celebrating Singapore's postal heritage and the next step in everyday postal convenience for residents across the island
Singapore Post Limited (SingPost) today marked World Post Day 2026, observed annually on 9 October, with two significant milestones: the launch of Singapore's first comprehensive national Philately website, and the completion of the islandwide rollout of SingPost@MyBlock — a service that brings postal convenience directly to residents' doorsteps.
Singapore's First Digital Repository of National Stamps
Until now, no single resource has brought together Singapore's complete philatelic history in one place. Accessible at philately.singpost.com, the new Philately website is the first digital archive of all Singapore national stamps issued since Independence in 1966. The portal brings together the complete national stamp collection, a calendar of past and upcoming philatelic community events, and a growing library of articles and behind-the-scenes interviews with the designers behind iconic stamp issues, freely accessible to researchers, educators, collectors and members of the public.
SingPost@MyBlock: Islandwide Rollout Complete
In June 2026, SingPost announced the phased islandwide rollout of SingPost@MyBlock. The rollout was completed by end-September 2026. Where available, residents across Singapore can now use the "Return Mail" slot in existing letterbox nests to post letters and small parcels, enabling slots in over 20,000 letterbox nests to function as posting boxes, removing the need to make a separate trip to a post office or street posting box.
Building on this, SingPost began a public trial of Asia's first Digital Stamp for domestic mail on 8 October, allowing customers to buy postage on the SingPost app and write the code on their envelope instead of using a physical stamp. Together with SingPost@MyBlock, it completes the cycle of convenience: where the Return Mail slot is available, customers can buy postage and post a letter without a separate trip to a post office, stamp vending machine or posting box.
“At SingPost, we are always looking at how to make our services work better for everyday Singaporeans. Completing the SingPost@MyBlock rollout means that over 20,000 letterbox nests across Singapore can now serve as posting points, which is a meaningful expansion of access for residents. And launching the Philately website ensures that six decades of Singapore's stamp heritage are properly recorded and preserved for generations to come. Taken together, we believe they make our services more useful, and accessible, to more people," said Neo Su Yin, Chief Operating Officer, SingPost.
Tiny Windows into Singapore
The centrepiece of this year's World Post Day celebrations is Tiny Windows into Singapore, a public exhibition at SingPost Centre Atrium designed as a walk-through stamp album tracing Singapore's national story across six chapters — Postal Journey, Imprints of Our Past, Birth of a Nation, City in a Garden, Our Little Red Dot, and The Jewel Box. Together they span the trades of early Singapore, housing milestones, national campaigns, biodiversity and the stamps that have shaped our shared memory.
The exhibition runs from 8 to 11 October 2026 at the atrium of SingPost Centre, 10 Eunos Road 8, and is free and open to the public. A full programme of visitor activities and philately talks accompanies the exhibition throughout all four days — details are available in the accompanying World Post Day 2026 backgrounder.

About World Post Day
World Post Day is marked every year on 9 October, the anniversary of the founding of the Universal Postal Union (UPU) in Bern, Switzerland, in 1874. The observance was established at the UPU's 1969 Congress in Tokyo, and the UPU itself became a specialised agency of the United Nations in 1948.
Around 150 of the UPU's member countries take part annually, using the day to raise public awareness of the postal sector's role in everyday life and its contribution to social and economic development. Common activities include philatelic exhibitions, new stamp issues, special date cancellations, open days at post offices and mail centres, and the launch of new postal products and services.
Singapore's programme for World Post Day 2026 is anchored by SingPost’s Roadshow at the SingPost Centre’s Atrium, detailed below.
