Designed for confidential, legal, and high-value correspondence, this service offers proof of posting, tracking, and recipient signature confirmation. Whether you're sending invoices, contracts, legal notices, or official letters, Registered Service ensures secure handling from start to finish, both locally and internationally.
SingPost enables the mailing of items up to 500g via Registered Service within Singapore. For overseas postings, we accept items weighing up to 2kg, but this service is only available if it is valid for the destination country. Registered Service operates as an affordable and reliable sign-for doorstep delivery, requiring a signature upon receipt in Singapore and most other destinations.
Please note that Registered Service is exclusively for the delivery of paper-based items, such as letters, documents, and printed materials of no commercial value.

Registered Service Tracking Number Information
Within Singapore (local sender to local receiver, “local to local”) and International posting (local sender to international destination, “local to international”)
For every Registered Service item, a 9-digit tracking number starting with RA and ending with SG (e.g., RA123456789SG) will be provided. Senders and recipients can use this tracking number to check delivery status, confirm delivery or pickup. This tracking only reflects major milestones rather than detailed scan-by-scan updates.
- For “local to local” Registered Service, this can be done either at the post office, POPStop service points or via POPDrop kiosks.
- For “local to international” Registered Service, this can only be done at the post office.
- Businesses which have a corporate account with SingPost can speak with their Account Managers for details of the Registered Service.
International Sender to Local Recipient
Kindly check with the sender for the specific Registered Service number, which may be in a different format from SingPost’s.
Value-Added Services
Advice of Receipt (AR)
AR is an optional service that is available for opt-in when registering a mail item. With AR service, the recipient will be requested to sign on the AR card and this card will be automatically returned to the sender via mail upon successful delivery. This optional service is available at $1.00, on top of the registered fee plus postage.
The Signed Delivery Receipt is only available to the sender as a digital copy upon a successful request from the recipient’s Postal Administration.
This request may require up to 3 working days (for local) and at least 25 working days (for overseas) to be processed.
Digital Copy of Signed Delivery Receipt (after posting)
If you require a digital copy of the signed delivery receipt and you have not opted for the AR service at the point of posting, a nominal fee may be charged.

- No insurance coverage is provided for paper-based contents.
- SingPost is not liable for lost or damaged documents.
- Posting boxes do not accept Registered Service — post at post office, POPStop or POPDrop.
- Items exceeding weight or non-paper items are not eligible.
- Not suitable for: parcels, non-paper goods, fragile items, or time-sensitive packages requiring real-time tracking. For those, consider Speedpost or smartpac or Prepaid Label.
- Registered Service does not provide detailed online tracking capability. It is not mandatory for registered mail items to be scanned at every stage of the delivery process be it for local or overseas delivery.
- For Registered Service to overseas, the scan events may differ from post to post. A scan event will be shown if and when they are provided by the Overseas Postal Administrations. For countries with no online tracking updates, SingPost will check with the Overseas Postal Administrations on the status if the addressee did not receive the item after a stipulated time. Under the international postal agreement, Overseas Postal Administrations may take up to 60 days to reply.
- Please confirm non-receipt of item with the Addressee before submitting an Enquiry.
- Please observe the following time period and take note of the following before raising an enquiry:
For Registered Service mail items:- Local to Overseas (via Air) - After 18 working days from date of posting.
- Local to Local - After 7 working days from date of posting.
- Enquiry must be made within six (6) months from the date of posting.
- Registered Service is a Sign-For service that requires a signature on delivery in Singapore and most destinations. If there is no further status of the Registered mail item going overseas, it may have been delivered to the addressee although some Overseas Postal Administration do not provide scan or online delivery status updates. In order to facilitate our investigation with the destination post, we would appreciate if you could provide complete information required within the form. We will contact the Overseas Postal Administration as part of our investigation, so please allow up to 60 days for us to investigate and respond fully before contacting us again. You will be updated on the progress of your Enquiry via the email address provided by 15th, 45th and 60th day from the date of your enquiry.
