
Singapore, 07 July 2025 – Singapore Post Limited (SingPost) today launched a commemorative stamp series titled “Singapore’s Modern Architectural Heritage” to celebrate 60 years of Singapore’s independence. The series showcases the nation’s iconic architectural landmarks from the early nation-building period.
The joint stamp issue features five distinctive stamps, each portraying a protected Modern building that exemplifies innovative design solutions to the socio-economic needs of a developing Singapore. These structures reflect the aspirations of a young nation determined to shape a vibrant and multicultural city.
The five featured buildings are as follows:
- Former Customs Harbour Branch (late 1960s)
- Former Singapore Conference Hall and Trade Union House (1965)
- Former Golden Mile Complex (1973)
- Queenstown Public Library (1970)
- Kwong Wai Shiu Hospital Main Block (1960)
