General Sending Information
How can I find out the cost of sending my item?
You can find the best shipping option and pricing by using our online tools. We recommend using our Rate Calculator tool for a quick estimate, or you can refer to our Delivery Rates for a full breakdown.
Can I get extra insurance for valuable items?
Yes. For valuable items sent via Speedpost, we recommend purchasing Enhanced Liability coverage. This provides additional insurance for your item against loss or damage during transit. You can add this option when you are creating your shipment.
After your item is prepared with the postage and labels, you have several convenient options to get it to us. Please refer to our Drop-Off Points FAQ for complete details on our drop-off points.
Services for Letters & Documents
How do I send simple letters and documents?
For everyday letters and documents, you have two main options:
- Basic Mail
This is our most affordable service for sending items up to 500g that do not require tracking. The postage cost is determined by the item's size and weight.- Regular: Maximum size is 240mm x 162mm x 6mm.
- Large: Maximum size is 324mm x 229mm x 14mm.
- Registered Mail
This service is ideal for important documents up to 500g, as it provides tracking and requires a signature upon delivery.- Regular: Maximum size is 240mm x 162mm x 6mm.
- Large: Maximum size is 324mm x 229mm x 14mm.
Registered Service is a trackable service with proof of delivery. Your mail item will be delivered directly to the recipient's doorstep. If the delivery is unsuccessful, a Delivery Notification Card will be left, and the item will be held at a designated Post Office for the next 10 working days for collection. If it is not collected within this period, it will be returned to the sender.

What happens if I forget to collect my ?
For Registered Service in Singapore, if the mail is not collected within 10 days, it will be returned to the sender.
To ensure your smartpac items are collected and processed for delivery within 2 working days, please post them by the following cut-off times:
| Within CBD: | Mondays to Thursdays, before 7pm Friday, before 8p.m. |
| Outside CBD: | Mondays to Thursdays, before 5p.m. Fridays, before 6p.m. |
There will be no collection on Saturdays, Sundays & Public Holidays.
An Advice of Receipt (AR) is an optional service you can add for an extra S$1.00, which provides a formal confirmation of receipt. All prices stated are in Singapore Dollars.
A Signed Delivery Receipt is a digital copy of the recipient's signature, available upon request from the destination's postal administration. This can take up to 3 working days for local items.
All Registered Service mail items will be delivered to doorstep.
If your item has not been delivered after 7 working days from the date of posting, and the recipient has confirmed they have not received it, you can raise an enquiry online. All enquiries must be made within 6 months from date of posting.
Services for Small Packages
What is a "small package"?
A small package is a mail item containing merchandise, non-paper content, or bulky items. This can include items like SIM cards, clothes, or phone cases. A small package must not exceed a maximum dimension of 324mm x 229mm x 65mm and a maximum weight of 2kg.
For sending small, tracked packages directly to a recipient's letterbox, we offer three great options:
- Tracked Letterbox
An affordable way to send items with tracking without requiring the recipient to be home.- Weight Limit: Up to 2kg.
- Max Dimensions: 324mm (L) x 229mm (W) x 65mm (H).
- Smartpac
Postage-paid packaging with tracking that you can buy at the post office.- Weight Limit: No weight limit.
- Max Dimensions: 324mm (L) x 229mm (W) x 65mm (H).
- Prepaid Label
Self-adhesive labels to your local parcels for hassle-free shipping.- Weight Limit: Up to 2kg.
- Max Dimensions: 324mm (L) x 229mm (W) x 65mm (H).
If an item cannot be delivered to the letterbox, a doorstep delivery attempt will be made.
- For smartpac: Our postman will attempt to deliver it to the recipient's doorstep. If delivery is still unsuccessful after 3 attempts, SingPost may return the package to the Sender, provided that the Sender’s address is clearly indicated.
- For Tracked Letterbox: Our postman will attempt to deliver it to the recipient's doorstep. If delivery is still unsuccessful after 3 attempts, SingPost may return the package to the Sender, provided that the Sender’s address is clearly indicated.
- For Tracked Letterbox: In the event of loss or damage, the maximum compensation is $10 per item. Please contact our customer service at 1605 to initiate a claim. Note that extended insurance is not available, and certain non-delivery exceptions may apply as per our Terms & Conditions. All prices stated are in Singapore Dollars.
- For smartpac: If a smartpac is damaged or its contents are missing, you may be eligible for compensation of up to 3 smartpac boxes / envelopes. Please note there is no cash compensation. For full details, please refer to our official Terms & Conditions.
Services for Larger Parcels
What should I use for sending larger parcels or for faster delivery?
For larger or urgent items, Speedpost is the best choice.
- Speedpost Standard: Up to 30kg, 600mm (L) x 400mm (W) x 300mm (H). (max length: 1.5m; L + 2W + 2H must not exceed 3m)
- Speedpost Express: Up to 5kg, 320mm (L) x 250mm (W) x 100mm (H).
How do I send an item and arrange a collection?
You can use the online tool, ezy2ship, to prepare, pay for, and print a shipping label for your item. You can also use the website to schedule a collection.
How can I get Proof of Delivery?
You can contact 1605, our Customer Service Hotline for assistance. The Proof of Delivery (physical or electronic) will be available after five working days.
For items sent via Speedpost, the maximum liability is S$150 per item or the declared value, whichever is lower. For more valuable items, we recommend purchasing Enhanced Liability coverage at the time of sending to increase the insurance amount.
