Service Adjustments to Deliveries in Singapore

Last update: 20 March 2020 14:01:02

Delivery service adjustments due to COVID-19

In line with public health advisories, we will be making changes to the way we deliver to you.

Redirection of Registered Service items to letterbox

All Registered Service items will be delivered to the recipient’s letterbox instead. In the event the item cannot fit into the letterbox, we will deliver to the doorstep using the contactless delivery process.

Contactless door-step delivery options

SingPost will be encouraging contactless delivery options for door-step deliveries.

For Basic Packages that require delivery to the door-step, please see below for the contactless doorstep delivery process.

For Speedpost deliveries to the door-step, recipients will be sent an SMS and given the following options for a contactless delivery:

  1. Authorise our staff to leave your item at the reception or guardhouse, where available
  2. Authorise our staff to leave the items at your door without you having to sign for the item
  3. We will knock on the door as usual and step away from the door at a safe distance. If the recipient is at home to collect the item, we will do a verbal confirmation of the recipient through the door before leaving the item at the doorstep for collection. Recipients are advised to open their door and collect the item only after the postman/Speedpost parcel ambassador leaves.

If there’s no one at home, we will leave a card with details of delivery attempt and the item will be forwarded to a post office or POPStation for collection.

If you require a re-delivery due to you being unable to leave your residence during this period of time, please call 1605 for assistance.

Malaysia Movement Control Order and its impact on SingPost

The Malaysia government has most recently restricted international travel for its citizens until 31 March. This has resulted in some pressure in our delivery manpower, as a number of our employees are Malaysians who commute daily. While we have provided accommodation for them, some have understandably opted to remain in Malaysia.

We will do our best to minimise the impact to deliveries.
