Will there be additional fees payable for collection of documents at post office?
There will be a service fee payable to SingPost for the successful collection of each ICA document at designated post offices. If you require more details, you may contact SingPost customer service hotline at Tel: 1605 to check with SingPost directly.
Are all LTP applicants eligible for this collection @ post offices service?
For any unsuccessful delivery be it local or overseas, a delivery advice will be slipped underneath the door of the addressee's address. You can Not all LTP applicants would be eligible for this alternate site collection service. Those who are eligible for alternate site collection will be informed by ICA.
How do I inform ICA if I wish to collect my LTP at a selected post office?
ICA will inform successful LTP applicants if they are eligible to collect their LTP card at the designated ASC post offices. For those eligible to collect at these post offices, you may use the ICA's e-Appointment system, available through the ICA website at https://eAppointment.ica.gov.sg/ to select your preferred post office and date of collection.
When is the earliest date I can collect my LTP at a post office?
The earliest date that you can collect your LTP card at the designated post office is three working days after you have successfully confirmed your booking via the ICA's e-Appointment system.
I have made an appointment to collect my LTP card at a particular post office but am unable to collect it on the selected date now. Must I change the appointment date?
You have up to 14 days from your appointment date to collect your LTP card from the selected post office. It is not necessary to change the appointment date if you are able to collect it within the 14 days. For example, if your appointment date is 1 November 2013, you can collect your LTP card on any day between 1 and 14 November 2013. Please check with your selected post office on their operational hours before you go and collect your LTP card.
After I have made an appointment to collect my LTP card at post office A, can I use the e-Appointment system to change the collection venue to post office B?
You are not allowed to do so for administrative and security reasons.
Can I collect my LTP card at the post office before my appointment date?
You will not be able to collect the LTP card before your appointment date as your LTP card may not have been delivered to the post office yet.
What will happen if I fail to collect my IC within 14 days from my appointment date?
If you fail to collect your LTP card within 14 days from your appointment date, your LTP card will be returned to ICA. You must make a fresh appointment through the e-Appointment system to collect your LTP card at the ICA Building, Visitor Services Centre at Level 4. Please note that you will only be able to log into the e-Appointment system earliest three working days after the 14 days' lapse to make a new booking.
You will not be required to pay a penalty fee in this situation. However, you are required to collect the LTP card at ICA Building within 3 months from the date of issue. Your LTP card will be destroyed if it is not collected within 3 months. You are required to replace your LTP card and the prevailing replacement fee applies.
What documents do I need to produce for collection of LTP at the post offices?
You are required to visit your selected post office in person and produce your passport and the LTP collection slip (issued by ICA) or a copy of the e-Appointment acknowledgement slip (print out from e-Appointment system) for the collection.
Can I appoint another person to collect my LTP card at the post office on my behalf?
You must collect your LTP card personally because your identity will be checked via the fingerprint verification system before your LTP card can be issued.
What must I do if the collection of my LTP card at the post office is unsuccessful?
If the collection of your LTP card at the post office is unsuccessful, you will have to collect the LTP card at the ICA Building, Visitor Services Centre at Level 4. The post office staff will advise you on the details.
