SingPost’s stamp set commemorating anniversaries of Girl Guides, Outward Bound Singapore and Lions Clubs International Issuance Date: 17 February 2017

SINGAPORE, 10 February 2017 – Singapore Post Limited (SingPost) will release on 17 February 2017 a new set of stamps celebrating milestone anniversaries of three organisations that have greatly contributed to the community, especially among youth.

Girl Guides Singapore is celebrating 100 years of developing girls into women of courage, confidence and character. It is the leading co-curricular activities group for girls in Singapore. There are 146 member organisations in the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts, which has a membership of more than 10 million girls.

Founded in 1967, Outward Bound Singapore (OBS) celebrates its Golden Jubilee this year. OBS is part of the National Youth Council, and is a pioneer and leader in outdoor education in Singapore, providing adventure-based experiential learning to develop rugged and resilient youths.

Lions Clubs International commemorates 100 years of aiding the blind and visually impaired, championing youth initiatives, helping needy seniors, caring for the environment, providing disaster relief and strengthening local communities. In Singapore, Lions Clubs supports the Lions Home For The Elders, The Lions Befrienders Service Association, The Lions Community Service Foundation and The Lions SaveSight Centre. There are more than 46,000 Lions clubs around the world, serving communities in over 200 countries and geographical areas.

The set of stamps comes in three denominations: 1st Local, 70¢ and $1.30.

There is a Pre-cancelled First Day Cover at $3.20 affixed with the complete set of stamps. A Presentation Pack will also be available for sale at $4.25.

The stamp issue will go on sale from 17 February 2017 at all post offices and the Singapore Philatelic Museum. They may also be purchased online at
