SingPost launches Evening in Singapore stamp series

SINGAPORE, 2 August 2018 –Singapore Post Limited (SingPost) will launch tomorrow a new set of stamps that captures Singapore life in a colourful composite of familiar evening scenes around the city.

The Evening in Singapore stamps depict how families, friends and co-workers wind down at the end of the day, from home-cooked family dinners to pasar malam (night market) shopping, night fishing and scenic jogs by the river.

The stamp set comes in the following denominations: 1st Local, 2nd Local, 60 cents, 70 cents, 90 cents and $1.30, as well as a $2 miniature sheet. Pre-cancelled First Day Covers affixed with the complete set of stamps are available at $5.45 each.

The stamps will go on sale from 3 August 2018 at a carnival at Our Tampines Hub (OTH) celebrating National Day and the first anniversary of OTH. A stamp exhibition, a special event cachet and other family friendly activities will also be organised at the SingPost booth during the duration of the carnival, which runs till 12 August 2018. The stamps may also be purchased at all post offices, the Philatelic Store, the Singapore Philatelic Museum, and online at shop.singpost.com.
