SingPost issues limited edition SJ50 Hello Kitty MyStamp set
SingPost’s SJ50 Hello Kitty MyStamp sheets and travelogue folder

Singapore, 27 October 2016 – Singapore Post (“SingPost”) will release on 29 October 2016 a limited edition Hello Kitty MyStamp set as part of the SJ50 celebrations of 50 years of diplomatic relations between Singapore and Japan.
Limited to a print run of 3,000, the set consists of one MyStamp sheet set in a hard cover folder, two postcards and a paper bag – featuring the special SJ50 version of Japan’s iconic Hello Kitty in a pink kimono, and a background motif made up of each country’s national flower, the Vanda Miss Joaquim orchid and Sakura. The set has been designed as a travelogue of Hello Kitty’s travels in Japan and Singapore, at which she meets Singapore’s SJ50 mascot, Doritan, a boy wearing spiky durian-like headgear and a red jumpsuit emblazoned with an image of the Merlion.
The commemorative issue is priced at $21.80, which includes six stamps, each with a face value of $1.10.
The Hello Kitty MyStamp set will be launched at the SJ50 Matsuri event that will be held at the Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza courtyard from 29 to 30 October 2016. The festival is the biggest event in the year-long SJ50 celebrations and will showcase Japanese traditional culture, pop culture, tourism and produce.
Apart from the SingPost booth at the SJ50 Matsuri event, the Hello Kitty MyStamp set will be available for sale at all Post Offices, the Singapore Philatelic Museum, and online at www.stampdelight.com.
