1.1. What is this remittance service all about?
CASHOME – remittance via BDO is an existing remittance service offered by SingPost in collaboration with Banco De Oro (BDO). 1.2. What are the benefits of this service?
This is a fast, convenient and secure remittance service available at any of SingPost’s 61 post offices conveniently located island wide. The money will be sent to your recipient depending on your preferred mode of delivery. To further enhance the viability, remittance to Philippines via BDO is also made available on our Self-service Automated Machines (S.A.M) 24/7 round the clock!
1.3. Where is this service offered?
This service is available at all 61 post offices island-wide and 6 (S.A.M) located in the post offices.
1.4. What are the payment modes?
You can fund your remittance transaction by NETS or by Cash when you transact at the post offices. Based on your instructions, the money will be sent to your beneficiary depending on your selection of the delivery modes.
1.5. What is a FASTcard?
It is a prepaid Visa Electron card where your beneficiaries in the Philippines may receive their money almost instantly via any Banco De Oro, Megalink, BancNet or Express Net ATMS as well as over 877,000 PLUS ATMs worldwide without the need to open a Current or Savings account. As a Debit Card, it allows purchases from over 27 million VISA-affiliated establishments worldwide through the card’s VISA Electron feature.
At this juncture, we are not offering any new FASTcard Application at our post offices. Only top-up of existing FASTcard transactions can be done.

1.6. New BDO Remit Cash Card
1.6.1 What is a BDO Remit Cash Card?
The new BDO Remit Cash Card is a full secured, prepaid, reloadable, multi-purpose electronic value card catered primarily to address remittance payments to beneficiary by OFWs. It is an all-in-one ATM & Debit Card that can not only used to reload cellphone airtime, it can be used to purchase goods at over 20,000 accredited merchants in Philippines.
1.6.2 How can I apply for a BDO Remit Cash Card?
CASHOME customers (Senders) can apply for a BDO Remit Cash Card for their Beneficiary in Philippines over-the-counter or over S.A.M.
Please Note that no Reload/Top up of BDO Remit Cash Card can be done at this Application stage.
Once the card is delivered to the Beneficiary by BDO, Beneficiary will be required to acknowledge the card and the default ATM PIN.
Upon receipt of the BDO Remit Cash Card by Beneficiary, Beneficiary has to inform Sender of his/her BDO Remit Cash Card Number (16 Digits) before Sender can reload/top-up his/her new BDO Remit Cash Card for the first time by visiting any SingPost post offices to update their Beneficiary's New BDO Remit Cash Card Number.
Please note that the 1st reload/top-up new BDO Remit Cash Card transaction cannot be done on S.A.M. Reload/Top Up on BDO Remit Cash Card can only be done for subsequent transactions on S.A.M after BDO Remit Cash Card number has been successfully registered over-the counter at all post offices.
1.6.3 What is the maximum amount to be remitted to a BDO Remit Cash Card?
The maximum amount that can be remitted to a BDO Remit Cash Card Account is PHP 100,000. Beneficiary can check for their cash card balances at a BDO ATM or SM POS Terminals in Philippines.
2.1 Do I need to register for the service?
You need to register for a CASHOME Card at any post offices. A CASHOME Card is an identification card for you to use at all the post offices or selected S.A.M (if applicable) to remit money to your recipients. This saves you the hassle of filling up any forms for subsequent transactions.
After registering for a CASHOME Card, you are also required to do a one-time registration of the designated recipient's name and recipient's BDO Bank Account Number or other Bank Name and Account Number (if applicable) at the Post Office. Should there be any changes in the Recipient's Details such as Account Number or Address or if you would like to add on more recipients to your CASHOME Card, you need to proceed to any Post Offices to do before the transaction can be done at the Post Office.
2.2 What Recipient Information needs to be provided to send money?
You will need to provide the SingPost staff at the Post Office with the following information when registering the Recipient Information:
- Recipient Name
- Recipient Contact Number
- Recipient Address
- Recipient Bank Account Number (For credit to BDO and other bank accounts only)
- Recipient Bank Branch Name (For credit to BDO and other bank accounts only)
- Recipient FASTCard Number (For Top up/Cash loading of FAST Card only)
- Recipient BDO Remit Cash Card Number (For Top-Up/Cash Loading of BDO Remit Cash Card only)
- Recipient Credit Card Number (For Bills Payment)
- Recipient Telco Bills Subscriber Account No./Card No. (For Bills Payment)
- Recipient Plan Number/Subscriber Account No./Loan Account No.(For Bills Payment for other type of bills)
2.3 How do I send money?
There are 2 ways in which you may send money via CASHOME - BDO Remit to Philippines:
1. All 61 Post Offices island-wide
2. Selected Self-service Automated Machines (S.A.M) located at selected Post Offices.
1. Through all post offices island-wide (Over-The-Counter)
This is the most conventional way to send money to your loved ones through our vast Post Office network island-wide. The Post Office Staff would assist you with the CASHOME-BDO Remit service transaction.
Step 1: You need to first register for a CASHOME Card at any of the 61 post offices by presenting your NRIC or Work Permit. You will be presented with a CASHOME Card instantly.
Step 2: You will also need to do a one-time registration of the Recipient’s details in the CASHOME Card and you will have to provide the Staff at the Post Office with the Recipient Name and BDO Bank Account Number, Other Banks Account Number or FASTcard number whom you would like to send money to. If you are sending via CASH pick-up anywhere, at M.Lhullier, CASH Door-to-Door delivery & Food Remittance, you will need to provide us your Recipient’s Name, Contact number and Address.
Step 3: Advise the Staff which recipient to send the money and the amount to send.
Step 4: Make payment via CASH or NETS over the counter and you will receive a CASHOME-BDO Remit Transaction Receipt. The money will be paid to your designated recipient depending on the delivery mode you have selected.
For subsequent CASHOME-BDO Remit transaction at the post office, please present your CASHOME Card to the staff at the post office and proceed with Step 3 & Step 4.
However, please note that should you need to register for any new recipients or amend the Recipient's details, you would have to do so at any post office. Do ensure that you bring along your CASHOME Card.
2. Through Selected SAM located at the post office
To further meet your remittance needs, you may want to send money via CASHOME-BDO Remittance service on selected Self-service Automated Machines (S.A.M). Gone are the days when you need to rush to the Post Office right before it closes its door! You can now send money on selected S.A.M 24/7 at your own convenience!
Step 1 & 2: You would have to ensure that both Step 1 & 2 above are completed at the Post Office before you could start transacting CASHOME-BDO Remit transaction on SAM.
Step 3: Go to any SAM located at any post office. Select the Remittance icon on the right hand side of the SAM screen. Insert the CASHOME Card and follow through the simple step-by-step guide screen flow on SAM to select the desired Recipient to send the money to and key in the amount to send.
Step 4: Confirm that all information is correct before proceeding to the payment page. Payment can only be made by NETS for SAM transaction and you will receive a CASHOME-BDO Remittance Transaction Receipt. The money will be paid to your recipient accordingly depending on your selection of delivery modes.
For subsequent CASHOME-BDO Remit remittance transaction at S.A.M, you may just proceed with Step 3 & Step 4 above.
However, please note that should you need to register for any new recipients or amend the Recipient's Bank Account Number, you would have to do so at any post office. Do ensure that you bring your CASHOME Card.
2.4 Is registration of the CASHOME card free?
The CASHOME Card is free! For subsequent card replacement, a S$5 fee applies each time.
2.5 What if I do not know the bank account number of my recipient?
Please check the recipient’s bank account number as you will need it to remit the money. For other Philippines Bank Accounts, you need to provide the Bank Branch Name also.
2.6 How long does the money take to reach my recipient?

2.7 How will I be informed that the funds have been successfully sent? Can I track the transaction?
You will receive a transaction confirmation receipt at the post office once your transaction is confirmed. In the event that the remittance is unsuccessful, we will notify you at the earliest possible time.
2.8 How will I know if the funds have been successfully received?
You need to check with the recipient on whether the funds are successfully transferred.
3.1 Who can receive money?
- Anyone with a valid bank account maintained with BDO or any other Philippines Bank for “Credit to BDO Account” and “Credit to Other Banks” delivery modes.
- Anyone with a valid Name and address for “Cash pick-up service” and “Cash Door-to-Door Delivery” modes.
- Anyone with a valid FASTcard or BDO Remit Cash Card.
3.2 How much does the recipient have to pay?
Our fees are charged to the sender. No fee is expected to be charged on the recipient.
3.3 For delivery mode “Cash pick-up at Service”, how can my Receiver pick-up cash in Philippines?
Receiver can simply visit any of the cash pick-up locations as follows with a valid Philippines ID with the Transaction Reference Number (found on Receipt):
- BDO Branches, BDO Remit counters inside SM Business Service Centres, SM Dept Stores, Savemore Markets, Global Pinoy Centre, Rural Bank Partner Branches & M.Lhuiller Kawarta Padala Outlets.
4.1 What are the fees involved in this remittance service?
CASHOME BDO remit remittance service to Philippines is one of the most competitively priced remittance services in the market depending on the delivery modes:

4.2 Who pays the fees, the person sending the money or the person receiving it?
The sender remitting the money pays the transfer fee.
4.3 Can I choose which currency to remit the money to?
You can only remit money to recipients in Philippines Peso.
4.4 What exchange rate is used?
The prevailing exchange rate used will be the rate quoted to you at the point of the remittance transaction.
4.5 How do I activate my Receiver's Dormant BDO Remit Cash Card or FASTcard?
For activation of Dormant account, please inform your Receiver to contact BDO in Philippines. Your Receiver may need to withdraw cash via BDO ATMs or at BDO branches in order to activate the card.
5.1 What is the minimum and maximum amount I can transfer?
In order to ensure the maximum security for the remittance transaction and in keeping with money transfer regulations, the maximum remittance amount is S$3,500 per sender per day. The sender can remit money to maximum of three recipients as long as the remittance amount does not exceed S$3,500.
5.2 How much can be loaded to the Recipient’s FASTcard at any one time?
The card can be loaded with a minimum amount equivalent to one hundred pesos (PHP100) and a maximum amount equivalent to fifty thousand pesos (PHP 50,000).
5.3 Does the FASTcard have an expiry?
The FASTcard shall be valid for a period of nine (9) years from the day of issuance and expires on the last day of the month indicated on the card. The card will also be terminated if it has zero value for six consecutive months.
5.4 Is there any minimum balance that the Recipient needs to maintain in the FASTcard?
No. Minimum balance is needed to be maintained in the FASTcard but the maximum Balance is pegged at fifty thousand pesos (PHP 50,000).
6.1 Is the service secure?
YES, the service is extremely secure. SingPost is committed to safeguarding your personal information and privacy.
6.2 Is there an audit trail for funds received?
Yes, SingPost is obliged by law to hold details of all transactions.
7.1 Can I cancel the transaction?
As the transfer is initiated immediately once you complete the transaction, you are unable to cancel it.
7.2 What should I do when my Recipient reports non-receipt of the remittance money?
You need to present the original receipt at the post office and submit a transaction enquiry. SingPost will notify you on your enquiry at the earliest possible time.For enquiries on the remittance status, you may call us at 1605 or submit your transaction enquiry request at any post office.
7.3 What should I do if there is an error in my transaction e,g, account number is wrong?
Generally, if the detail (e.g. account number, branch name) provided is invalid, the transaction will be rejected. However, you may call our 1605 or submit your enquiry request to any Post Office to confirm the status of your remittance before deciding if you need to perform another remittance. SingPost will confirm the status of your remittance after receipt of the enquiry request and transaction details from you in good order and reply to you as soon as an update is received from BDO.
