  • For BNI Bank Accounts:

- For Transaction done before 3pm, Recipient will receive the money on the same day.

- For Transaction done after 3pm, Recipient will receive the money on the next working day.

  • For the other 5 Selected Indonesian Bank Accounts:

- Transactions involving these 5 other Indonesian Bank Accounts may take a longer time to reach the Recipients. Your recipient can verify the funds received by checking with the bank branch or updating his/her passbook.

- Sender should check with the Recipient if they have received the money.

- If Recipient still does not receive the money after 5 working days, Sender could raise an inquiry at the Post Office by filling up an Inquiry Form and SingPost Retail Operations Team will assist to check on the transaction status.

  •  For BNI Wesel Pin (Cash Pick-up) Service:

- Funds remitted via BNI WESEL Pin (Cash pick up service) will be available by the next business day for collection during operating hours at all BNI Bank Branches, Pos Indonesia post office outlets and other BNI paying agents.

6.2 Why does it take a longer time for money to be transferred to the other 5 Indonesian Banks (besides BNI)?

For any transfer of money to the other 5 Indonesian Banks, remittance funds are routed to Indonesia via Indonesia Clearing House. Thus, a longer processing time is needed. Thus, Recipient can receive the money on the same day if transaction is done before 3 p.m or by the next working day if the transaction is done after 3 p.m.

8.1 Can I cancel the transaction?

As the transfer is initiated immediately once you complete the transaction, you are unable to cancel it.

8.2 What happens if my transaction gets rejected by BNI or any of the 5 Other Indonesian banks?

Refund Process for BNI Bank Accounts:

If your transaction is rejected by BNI, SingPost will contact you upon notification of the rejection status by BNI. If you wish to get a refund, funds will be returned to you in S$ at the original contracted exchange rate for IDR, without any refund of the $10 commission which you have paid.

Refund Process for other 5 Indonesian Bank Accounts:

If your transaction is rejected by your Recipient's Indonesian Bank, SingPost will contact you upon notification of the rejection status by BNI.

Funds will be returned in Singapore Dollars at the buying rate for Indonesian Rupiah then prevailing, less any applicable fees. FUNDS WILL NOT BE RETURNED AT THE ORIGINALLY CONTRACTED EXCHANGE RATE.

Similarly, there will not be any refund of the $10 commission which you have paid.

Refund Process for BNI Wesel Pin:

If a BNI Cash-pick up transaction is rejected or a refund for a BNI transaction is requested, funds will be returned in Singapore Dollars at the buying rate for Indonesia Rupiah then prevailing, less any applicable fees.

Transactions can be rejected/ refunded due to some possible reasons as follows:

-       Incorrect CASHOME Transaction Reference No. (PIN No.)

-       Unclaimed funds after 7 days from date of transaction

-       Mismatch of ID details produced against Beneficiary's Name in our record.

-       Incorrect Beneficiary's Name

-       Beneficiary request to return funds to sender

Customer may not be able to get back their full remittance amount at the originally contracted exchange rate if a BNI Cash Pick-up transaction is rejected or refunded. There will not be any refund of the $10 commission which you have paid.

8.3 Why is the refund transaction for other 5 Indonesian Bank Accounts return to Sender at the prevailing buying exchange rate for IDR against S$ and not at the originally contracted rate?

Due to the longer processing time taken to remit money to the other 5 Indonesian Banks, and for funds to be returned back to SingPost for any rejection or refunds, we will be subjected to currency fluctuations during this period which is beyond our control.

Thus, we seek your understanding that we are unable to refund you back at the originally contracted exchange rate. You will only know the actual refund exchange rate after we process your refund transaction. SingPost will contact you during office hours

(Mon – Fri) to advise you on the refund details, should your transaction get rejected.

8.4 What should I do when my recipient reports non-receipt of the remittance money?

You need to present the original receipt at the post office and submit a transaction enquiry. SingPost will notify you on your enquiry at the earliest possible time.
