Identity Card Collection Services
About the alternate site collection service
1 : What is this alternate site collection service all about?
It is an initiative by the ICA to offer Singapore Citizens (SCs) and Singapore Permanent Residents (SPRs) the choice of collecting their ICs from an alternative site.
2 : Will other ICA documents be included in this alternate site collection service?
Currently, only the Singapore passport and IC are available for collection at selected post offices. We do not rule out extending the collection service to other ICA documents. More details will be shared at the appropriate time.
3 : What are the benefits of this service to the public?
SCs and SPRs can collect their ICs at selected post offices. It gives them the option and convenience of collecting their ICs beyond the operating hours of ICA as some of the post offices operate till 8pm on weekdays while a few are also open on Sundays and public holidays.

The following groups of SCs and SPRs will not be eligible to collect their ICs at the post offices:

7 : What if I am not eligible to collect my IC at the post office?
If you are not eligible to collect your IC at the selected post office, you will be required to come to ICA Building for collection. For better time management, please log on to ICA's e-Appointment system at https://eAppointment.ica.gov.sg/ to make an appointment.
8 : I have applied to re-register my NRIC/replace my damaged NRIC/change of name for my NRIC at the Post Office. Why can't I collect my NRIC at the same Post Office subsequently?
SingPost submit your re-registration and replacement of IC via ICA's iC Online system.
Those who apply for re-registration and replacement of IC via iC Online are not eligible as ICA need to capture both fingerprints upon the collection of their ICs which SingPost is unable to do.

The earliest date that you can collect your IC at the selected post office is three working days after you have successfully confirmed your booking via the ICA's e-Appointment system.

You have up to 14 days from your appointment date to collect your IC from the selected post office. 15 : After I have made an appointment to collect my IC at post office A, can I use the e-Appointment system to change the collection venue to post office B?
You are not allowed to do so for administrative and security reasons.
16 : Can I collect my IC at the post office before my appointment date?
You will not be able to collect the IC before your appointment date as your IC may not have been delivered to the post office.
17 : What will happen if I fail to collect my IC within 14 days from my appointment date?
If you fail to collect your IC within 14 days from your appointment date, your IC will be returned to ICA. You must make a fresh appointment through the e-Appointment system to collect your IC at the ICA Building. Please note that you will only be able to log into the e-Appointment system earliest three working days after the 14 days' lapse to make a new booking.
You will not be required to pay a penalty fee in this situation. However, you are required to collect the IC at ICA Building within 3 months from the date of issue. Your IC will be destroyed if it is not collected within 3 months. You are required to replace your IC and the prevailing replacement fee applies.
