1. Definitions

(i) "Customer" means the successful applicant of the Service;

(ii) "Service" means the mail retention provided by SingPost which allows mail to be retained at the SingPost post office; and

(iii) "Working day" means Mondays to Fridays (excluding public holidays).

 

2. Fee Payable

2.1 The Customer shall pay fees for the Service as follows:

2.2 The maximum duration of the Service is two (2) months at any one time. Subsequent request for extension will be considered as renewal of the Service on a monthly basis and the fees for each subsequent month shall apply. However, a minimum of one (1) month's fee is payable notwithstanding that the period of Service is less than one (1) month.

2.3 Any subsequent request for extension from the third month onwards will be accepted on condition that mail from the previous retention period has been cleared by the applicant or his/her representative.

 

3. Payment Mode

3.1 The Customer may make payment by cash, cheque or NETS at the time of application at any SingPost post office. All cheques shall be made payable to "Singapore Post Limited" and crossed "Account Payee Only". Non-transferable cheques are not acceptable for payment.

3.2 For extension of duration of the Service, the Customer may make payment by cheque and submit it together with the duly completed Renewal Notice (issued by SingPost prior to expiration date).

3.3 For online application and extension of duration of the Service, the Customer may make payment by Giro-On-Demand.

 

4. Availability of Service

4.1 SingPost may offer the Service in its sole discretion and only if the mail can be retained for the address indicated. If SingPost decides to offer the Service, the Service shall not commence earlier than the second working day after the date of receipt of application by SingPost.

4.2 Unless instructed by the Customer, unclaimed registered articles would be returned to sender in accordance with SingPost's terms and conditions for registered articles.

4.3 Application for retention of mail CANNOT be accepted in any or all of the following circumstances:

i. If the address is not an official address approved by IRAS and without an allocated 6 digit postal code.

ii. Mail addressed to clubs, hotels, boarding houses or lodgings or where mail is delivered to a central point or to a box used for the receipt of mail addressed to several tenants in the same premises, such as a 'multi-dwellers' residential premises, sub-tenants, sub-agents, etc.

iii. Mail care of (ie. c/o) another person at a private residential premises.

iv. Mail that is not posted through SingPost.

v. Mail items sent by Speedpost Islandwide Courier Service.

vii. Mail sent via incoming Express Mail Service (EMS).

4.4 All applications for the Service must be made on SingPost's prescribed form which is available at any SingPost's post office or retrieved from SingPost's website at http://www.singpost.com.

4.5 Where the Customer is a corporate entity, the application form must be accompanied by an authorization letter bearing the entity's name and rubber stamp and must be duly signed by a manager, director or partner of the entity.

4.6 Where the Customer is an individual, and if more than one (1) person require the Service, all persons applying for the Service must furnish his/her Singapore identity card or passport number. The application form must be duly signed by all the persons named in the said form. Notwithstanding anything contained herein, where there is more than one (1) addressee named on the cover, SingPost shall carry out the Service only if all of the addressees had applied for the Service.

 

5. Termination

5.1 SingPost reserves the right to immediately suspend or terminate the Service if there is any breach by the Customer of any of the terms and conditions herein and SingPost has given fourteen (14) days' notice of such breach and the Customer has failed to rectify such breach within that time.

5.2 The Customer may terminate the Service by giving SingPost at least one (1) week's prior notice in writing. The Customer shall pay an administrative fee of Singapore Dollars Ten (S$10.00)* if the Service is terminated before the expiry of the duration of the Service. The effective termination date shall be as stated in the Customer's written notice or the date of receipt by SingPost of the said written notice, whichever is later.

5.3 Any fees already paid for the Service for the remaining full calendar month(s) after the effective date of termination, shall be refunded to the Customer.

5.4 Upon termination or expiry of the duration of the Service, all mail addressed to the previous address shall be delivered as addressed or disposed of in accordance with the provisions of Postal Services Act (Cap. 237A) and any rules and regulations made thereunder.

5.5 Such action taken by SingPost shall be without prejudice to any other rights or remedies which SingPost may have.

 

6. Address Information

6.1 Fur the duration of the Service, the Customer shall not change the address for which he requires the Service.

 

7. Consent to Use and Disclose Customer Information and Data

7.1 The Customer agrees that SingPost shall be entitled to use or disclose any information or data disclosed by the Customer in accordance with the SingPost General Terms & Conditions located at the SingPost website at http://www.singpost.com (or available from SingPost on written request). The Customer is entitled to withdraw such consent in accordance with the procedure as prescribed by SingPost from time to time.

 

8. Entire Agreement

8.1 The Customer shall be bound by and shall fully observe and comply with all the SingPost General Terms & Conditions as well as such other terms and conditions as may be agreed between SingPost and the Customer. The rights and protections conferred on SingPost under these Mail Retention Service Terms and Conditions shall be additional to the rights and protections conferred on SingPost under the SingPost General Terms & Conditions and any other terms and conditions as may be agreed between SingPost and the Customer. In the event that any of these Mail Retention Service Terms & Conditions are inconsistent with the SingPost General Terms & Conditions, these Mail Retention Service Terms & Conditions set out herein shall prevail.

P.O. Box Service Terms & Conditions (T&Cs)

1. Definitions

(i) "Customer" means the customer of the Service; and

(ii) "Service" means the Post Office Box/Locked Bag/Window Delivery Service.

 

2. Duration of Service

2.1 Unless otherwise stated, the Service offered by SingPost shall commence from the date of commencement of the Service and shall continue until it is suspended, revoked or otherwise dealt with in accordance with the provisions hereof.

 

3 Fees Payable

3.1 The annual Service fees payable for the various services (inclusive of GST) are as follows:

3.2 The fees are applicable for a yearly contracted period commencing from 1 April to 31 March of the following financial year.

3.3 The Customer can apply for a choice number or a golden number with a one-time payment fee apart from the Service fee.

3.4 For new applications submitted after 1 April, a pro-rated fee will be charged based on the remaining months of Service for the year from 1 April to 31 March of the following financial year. Thereafter, the Services shall be payable from year to year in accordance with Clause 3.1 and 3.2, unless terminated by either party in the manner provided herein.

3.5 Computation of part/ full rental payment will commence on the first day of the month in which theapplication form is received by SingPost, regardless of the actual date of application.

3.6 After the application has been processed and a P.O. Box/ Locked Bag/ Window Delivery number is allocated to the Customer, the Customer must pay the Service fee for the financial year ending 31 March of the following year or part of it. The Service fee paid is not refundable.

3.7 If the application is placed on the waiting list, due to Service not being available at the location of the Customer's choice, an application fee of $10.70 (inclusive of GST) is payable by cash or cheque and it will be retained with no interest payable thereon.

3.8 All fees and charges shall be payable by the Customer in advance, upon receipt of bill notification from SingPost. The bill for renewal of annual rental will be sent to Customer's P.O. Box/ Locked Bag/ Window Delivery address unless otherwise advised by Customer.

 

4. Payment

4.1 The Customer shall promptly pay on demand all charges, fees and rentals levied on the Service shown on the official bill notification.

4.2 Whenever requested by SingPost, the Customer shall, in addition, make such deposits as SingPost may require, to cover the services rendered or to be rendered.

4.3 A late payment fee shall be levied on any outstanding payment.

 

5. Termination

5.1 By the Customer

(i) The Customer may terminate the Service by giving SingPost a written notice and such Service shall be terminated upon receipt of such written notice by SingPost.

(ii) The Customer shall be liable on termination of the Service as stipulated under Clause 6.

(iii) In the event that the Customer terminates the Service whether in accordance with sub-clause 5.1 (i) herein or otherwise, the unused period of the Service Fee is not refundable.

5.2 By SingPost

(i) SingPost reserves the right to summarily terminate the Service at any time and is not bound to give any reason whatsoever. In the event of such termination, the Customer shall be liable as stipulated under Clause 6.

 

6. Customer's Liability on Termination

6.1 In the event of termination of the Service, the Authority Card and the key of the P.O. Box must be returned to SingPost within 14 days at the Customer's costs and expense, failing which the Authority Card and/ or key shall be deemed as lost, and the fees applicable at that time shall be paid by Customer.

6.2 When the Service is terminated by the Customer prior to the expiry date of the subscribed Service, pursuant to Clause 5.1(i), correspondence addressed to the Customer will be reforwarded for a period of up to two months but limited to within the yearly contracted period (ie. the last day to end on 31 March) and to an address advised by the Customer, or in the absence of such advice, to the last known addressas shown on SingPost's record. The reforwarding or redirection of correspondence addressed to persons cared of a firm or to clubs, hotels, boarding houses and lodgings will not be undertaken by SingPost.

6.3 However, if the Service is terminated after expiry date without renewal, or due to non-payment, or by reason of breach of this agreement by the Customer, a one-time reforwarding of mail will be provided, on the day of termination. Subsequent mail addressed to the Service will be returned to senders.

 

7. Customer's Responsibilities

7.1 The Customer shall: 

(i) promptly pay all amounts due to SingPost;

(ii) ensure that all charges, fees and rentals as and when due shall be paid promptly notwithstanding that the official bill for payment may not have been received at the appropriate time for one reason or another;

(iii) ensure that the Service is not used for any illegal or unlawful purpose including but not limited to gambling and vice;

(iv) ensure that the name in which the Service is applied for is registered with the relevant authorities and substantiated by valid documents e.g. Business Registration Certificate, NRIC, Passport etc. (the use of a pseudonym is not permitted);

(v) ensure that the Service is not used by any other person/firm/company unless authorised by SingPost;

(vi) promptly inform SingPost of any change in Customer's address.

(vii) not be permitted to place his personal belongings or mail that has already been opened, in the P.O. Box. SingPost shall not be held responsible for the loss or damage to any items placed in the P.O. Box.

(viii) ensure that the P.O. Box which is applied for under "Individual Applicant" is not used for business purposes.

 

8. SingPost's Rights and Non-liability

8.1 SingPost reserves the right to refuse to offer the Service to any person/firm/company without having to assign any reason for such refusal.

8.2 SingPost shall not be liable to the customer or to any third party for any damage or loss arising from the Service. In the event of any damage, loss or injury sustained by a third party arising from the Service, the customer shall indemnify and keep SingPost indemnified in full against any cost, damage, loss, liability and expense.

8.3 SingPost shall not be liable for all claims for libel, slander or infringement of copyright arising from the material transmitted or received in connection with the Service and all other claims arising out of any act or omission of the customer in connection with the Service. In the event of any such claim, the customer shall indemnify and keep SingPost indemnified in full in respect of such claim.

8.4 SingPost reserves the right to suspend or terminate the Service on grounds of national interest, public safety or for any other reasons. In the event that this right is exercised, SingPost shall not be liable to the customer or any third party for any loss or damage arising from the suspension or termination of the said Service. Mail affected by such suspension or termination of service will not be accorded the reforwarding service but will be disposed of according to the provision of the Postal Services Act (Cap 237A) and any rules and regulations made thereunder.

8.5 P.O. Box numbers are the property of SingPost and the Customer has no proprietary right to the P.O. Box number assigned. SingPost reserves the right to alter and/or allocate any P.O. Box number of, or to, the Customer at any time without being liable for any loss or inconvenience attributable to the change/allocation of the P.O. Box number whatever may be the cause for the change/allocation.

8.6 SingPost reserves the right to relocate P.O. Boxes to a new location. SingPost shall not be liable for claims for damages or losses or costs and expenses suffered or incurred by the Customer or any third party arising from any relocation of P.O. Boxes to a new location.

8.7 SingPost shall be entitled to terminate the Service without any prior notice at any time if it is known that a gift or consideration of any kind was given or offered to any of SingPost's staff as an inducement or reward in connection with the provision of the Service.

8.8 If arising from postal network changes, a special P.O. Box (such as "choice" or "golden" number) in use has to be changed or withdrawn, SingPost will endeavour to provide a similar number at another branch of the Customer's choice, if it is possible. If it is not possible, the customer will receive a pro-rated refund of the "Premium" fee paid for the special number for the first year of Service only. If the number in use has to be changed or withdrawn after 1 year of Service, there will be no refund.

8.9 SingPost reserves the right to amend, add to, delete and/or vary any of the clauses herein stated, and the Customer shall be bound to observe, perform and comply with the provisions herein and any amendments thereof. Any such amendment, addition to and/or deletion of the terms and conditions shall be communicated to the Customer in writing in such manner as SingPost deems fit.

8.10 Mail bearing the address of the P.O. Box/Locked Bag/Window Delivery Service will be delivered to the P.O. Box/Locked Bag/Window Delivery Service address regardless of the name of the addressee (Please see exception in clause 7.1 (viii).

8.11 If the mail is not collected for a consecutive period of more than 2 months, SingPost reserves the right to deliver the mail to the Customer's address contained in the Application for the Service. In the event that the mail cannot be delivered to the aforesaid address because of the failure of the Customer to inform SingPost of the change of address or for any other reasons whatsoever, the mail shall be returned to the senders, or any other appropriate action SingPost deems fit.

8.12 For Customer who is leaving Singapore temporarily, he must inform SingPost in writing of the period of his absence and SingPost will retain the mail for the full duration of such absence.

 

9. SingPost's Remedy

9.1 SingPost may, without prejudice to any other right or remedy of SingPost and notwithstanding the waiver of any previous breach, forthwith terminate the Service, if;

(i) the charges, fees and rentals or any other monies payable to SingPost are in arrears;

(ii) the Customer shall be adjudged bankrupt or if a receiving order be made against him or if he makes any composition or arrangements with or assignment for the benefit of his creditors;

(iii) the Customer, in the case of a Corporation, has a winding-up petition presented against it, or receiver appointed, or a receiver and manager appointed or a judicial manager appointed;

(iv) SingPost is of the opinion that the Customer has failed to observe and perform any of the rules and regulations or conditions of the agreement with SingPost.

9.2 Upon suspension/termination of the Service, the Customer shall be liable to SingPost for all charges, fees and rentals due up to and including such date. Notwithstanding Clause 9.1 and 9.2 hereof, upon subsequent payment by the Customer of such sums as demanded by SingPost, in its absolute discretion, may restore the Service and these Terms and Conditions shall continue to be in force. In the case of resumption of the Service, the Customer shall be liable for any charges and fees as deemed necessary by SingPost.

 

10. Miscellaneous

10.1 The title to the Terms and Conditions are for convenience only and shall not in any way affect the interpretation thereof,

10.2 Any notice of account which may be given or rendered by SingPost shall be deemed duly given or rendered if sent by post to the Customer's usual or last known place, office or address as shown on SingPost record.

10.3 The word "Customer" as used herein refers to the Applicant as appeared on the application form.

10.4 Laws Applicable.

 

This Agreement shall be constructed in accordance with and be subjected to the laws of the Republic of Singapore, and all proceedings in relation to any matter in dispute arising out of or in connection with this Agreement shall be commenced in the courts of the Republic of Singapore and the parties hereby submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of such courts.

 






My Mail Box Terms and Conditions (T&Cs)

1. DEFINITIONS

(i) "Box Number" means the post office box number (but not a physical box) allocated by SingPost to the Subscriber;

(ii) "Mail" refers to ordinary mail (including registered mail) but excludes items to be delivered via courier.

(iii) "Registered Address" means the Subscriber's mailing address as registered with SingPost in the Subscriber's application form for the Service;

(iv) "Service" means the service offered by SingPost to Subscribers whereby a Subscriber will be allocated a Box Number to which mail for the Subscriber may be addressed and SingPost will deliver mail addressed to such Box Number to the Subscriber's Registered Address;

(v) "Subscriber" means the successful applicant of the Service; and

(vi) "Working Day" means any day on Mondays to Fridays (excluding public holidays).

 

2. SCOPE OF SERVICE

2.1 Mail addressed to the Subscriber's Box Number will be delivered by SingPost to the Subscriber's Registered Address without the Subscriber being required to collect the said mail physically at SingPost's premises.

2.2 Notwithstanding Clause 2.1 above, SingPost may determine, in its absolute discretion, whether to deliver any Mail addressed to the Subscriber’s Box Number.

2.3 For the avoidance of doubt, the Box Number may not be used as the address on any Mail to be delivered by a third party in the event that such third party specifically requires the Subscriber to provide full details of the Subscriber’s mailing address.

 

3. FEES

3.1 The registration and subscription fees payable for the Service shall be:

3.2 The Subscriber may apply for a choice or a golden Box Number subject to a one-time fee payable in addition to the abovementioned fees. The Subscriber may call SingPost’s P.O. Box Section at 1605 to apply for a choice or a golden Box Number.

3.3 Subject to Clause 9.2, all fees shall be paid by the Subscriber in advance. The bill for renewal of annual subscription to the Service will be sent to the Subscriber’s Box Number.

3.4 The subscription for the Service is automatically renewed annually unless terminated in accordance with these My Mail Box Service Terms & Conditions.

 

4. TERMINATION

4.1 By the Subscriber

(a) The Subscriber may terminate the Service by giving SingPost written notice of at least seven (7) Working Days and the Service shall be terminated within seven (7) Working Days from the date of the Subscriber’s written notice.

(b) In the event that the Subscriber terminates the Service prior to the expiry of the subscription period, whether in accordance with Clause 4.1(a) or otherwise, the subscription fees with respect to any unused portion of the subscription period shall not be refunded.

4.2 By SingPost

(a) SingPost may terminate the Service at any time and is not bound to give any reason whatsoever, without being liable to damages or otherwise for the said termination, save that SingPost shall refund to the Subscriber the subscription fees with respect to any unused portion of the subscription period.

(b) SingPost may terminate the Service immediately in the event that the Subscriber breaches any of these My Mail Box Service Terms & Conditions. In such an event, the Subscriber shall not be entitled to any refund of the subscription fees with respect to any unused portion of the subscription period, without prejudice to any other rights or remedies SingPost may have against the Subscriber under these My Mail Box Service Terms & Conditions, in law or equity.

(c) SingPost may terminate the Service on grounds of national interest, public safety or for any other reasons. In the event that this right is exercised, SingPost shall not be liable to the Subscriber or any third party for any loss or damage arising from the termination of the said Service. Mail affected by such termination of the Service will not be delivered in accordance with the Service but will be disposed of according to the provisions of the Postal Services Act (Cap. 237A) and any rules and regulations made thereunder.

 

5. CONSEQUENCES OF TERMINATION

5.1 When the Service is terminated by the Subscriber prior to the expiry date of the subscription period, any Mail addressed to the Box Number which SingPost receives on or before (a) the seventh day after the date of termination or (b) the expiry of the subscription period (whichever is earlier) shall continue to be delivered to the Registered Address. Any Mail addressed to the Box Number which SingPost receives thereafter will be returned to the sender and SingPost shall not be liable in any way for the non-delivery of such Mail.

5.2 In the event

(a) the Subscriber does not pay the fees for renewal of subscription to the Service within ten (10) Working Days from:

(i) the expiry date of the previous subscription period; or

(ii) the date of the Subscriber’s receipt of the bill for renewal of subscription to the Service pursuant to Clause 3.3

(whichever is later); or

(b) the Subscriber has breached these My Mail Box Service Terms & Conditions, the Service shall be terminated with immediate effect. Any Mail addressed to the Box Number which SingPost receives on or before the date of the termination shall be delivered to the Registered Address on the day of termination. Any Mail addressed to the Box Number which SingPost receives after the date of termination of the Service shall be returned to the sender and SingPost shall not be liable in any way for the non-delivery of such Mail.

 

6. SUBSCRIBER’S RESPONSIBILITY


6.1 The Subscriber shall:

(a) ensure that the Service is not used for any illegal or unlawful purpose including but not limited to gambling or vice.

(b) ensure that the name (use of pseudonym is not permitted) and Registered Address that is provided in the application form for the Service is substantiated by valid documents, including but not limited to the Business Registration Certificate, identity card, passport or such other documents required by SingPost, and such documents shall be submitted to SingPost for verification within seven (7) Working Days of the application for the Service.

(c) ensure that the Registered Address provided for the re-direction of Mail received at the allocated Box Number is accurate and be responsible for all information provided and declaration made in respect of the application for the Service.

(d) ensure that the Service is not used by any other person / company except with SingPost’s prior written approval.

(e) promptly inform SingPost of any change in the Registered Address.

 

 

7. SINGPOST’S RIGHTS

7.1 Box Numbers are the property of SingPost and the Subscribers have no proprietary right to the Box Number assigned. SingPost reserves the right to alter and /or allocate any Box Number of, or to, the Subscriber at any time without being liable to the Subscriber for loss or inconvenience attributable to such alteration / allocation of the Box Number whatever may be the cause for the alteration / allocation.

7.2 Mail bearing the address of the Box Number will be delivered to the Registered Address, regardless of the name or addressee of such Mail. A sticker bearing the Registered Address will be affixed on the item. In the event that the item is not delivered for any reason whatsoever, it will be returned to the sender (only if the address of the sender is clearly stated on the exterior surface of the item) with the sticker bearing the Registered Address of the Subscriber affixed thereon.

 

8. ADDRESS FORMAT

8.1 All mail posted for delivery under this Service must bear an address in the following format:

(where XXXX are the numerals allocated to the Subscriber under this application)

For mail posted from an overseas country, the word "Singapore" must be indicated at the last line of the address.

8.2 SingPost reserves the right to refuse delivery of any Mail not bearing the above address format and return such Mail to the sender.

 

9. DELIVERY OF MAIL

9.1 Ordinary and Registered items addressed to the Box Number will be delivered according to the delivery standard applicable.

 

10. DELIVERY TO AN OVERSEAS COUNTRY

10.1 Where the Registered Address is an address outside Singapore to which the Mail addressed to the Subscriber’s Box Number is to be delivered, delivery of Mail shall be by Airmail service. The Subscriber is required to pay an additional fee based on Airmail zoning and handling charges.

10.2 The additional fee payable for a Box Number linked to an overseas address is $25* per month or such amount as may be imposed by SingPost from time to time.

 

11. CHANGE OF ADDRESS

11.1 The Subscriber may change the Registered Address once a year during the subscription period at no additional fee. A fee of $30* shall be charged for each additional change during the subscription period. The Subscriber is required to give written notice of at least three (3) Working Days to effect such change.

 

12. ENTIRE AGREEMENT

12.1 The Subscriber shall be bound by and shall fully observe and comply with all the SingPost General Terms & Conditions as well as such other terms and conditions as may be agreed between SingPost and the Subscriber. The rights and protections conferred on SingPost under these My Mail Box Service Terms & Conditions shall be additional to the rights and protections conferred on SingPost under the SingPost General Terms & Conditions and any other terms and conditions as may be agreed between SingPost and the Subscriber. In the event that any of these My Mail Box Service Terms & Conditions are inconsistent with the SingPost General Terms & Conditions, these My Mail Box Service Terms & Conditions shall prevail.

Mail Redirection Terms & Conditions (T&Cs)

1. Definitions

(i) "Customer" means the successful applicant of the Service;

(ii) "Service" means the mail redirection service provided by SingPost which allows a recipient of mail who has moved to a new address to continue to receive mail bearing the previous address; and

(iii) "Working day" means Mondays to Fridays (excluding public holidays).

 

2. Fee Payable

2.1 The Customer shall pay fees for the Service as follows:

There is no limit to the maximum period applied for. However, a minimum of one (1) month's fee is payable notwithstanding that the period of the Service is less than one (1) month.

2.2 Any application for the Service made within one (1) month after the expiry of the Service may, subject to SingPost's sole discretion, be considered as an extension of the Service. Any application for the Service made one (1) or more calendar month after expiry of the Service shall be considered as a new application, and the Customer shall pay the applicable fees accordingly.

 

3. Payment Mode

3.1 The Customer may make payment by cash, cheque or NETS at the time of application at any SingPost post office. All cheques shall be made payable to "Singapore Post Limited" and crossed "Account Payee Only". Non-transferable cheques are not acceptable for payment.

3.2 For extension of duration of the Service, the Customer may make payment by cheque and submit it together with the duly completed Renewal Notice (issued by SingPost prior to expiration date).

3.3 For online application and extension of duration of the Service, the Customer may make payment by Giro-On-Demand.

 

4. Postage Applicable

4.1 For redirection within Singapore, no additional postage charge is payable for ordinary mail. However,in the case of parcels, the Customer shall ensure that the recipient pays additional postage upon delivery of the parcel.


4.2 For further redirection from the country of original destination to another country, the Customer shall pay any additional postage or charges which may be levied by the country of original destination in accordance with the International Postal Regulations.

 

5 Availability of Service

5.1 SingPost may offer the Service in its sole discretion and only if the mail can be redirected from the address indicated. If SingPost decides to offer the Service, the Service shall not commence earlier than the second working day after the date of receipt of application by SingPost.

5.2 Application for redirection of mail CANNOT be accepted in any or all of the following circumstances:

i. If the previous or the new address (not being an overseas address) is not an official address approved by IRAS and without an allocated 6 digit postal code.

ii. Mail addressed to clubs, hotels, boarding houses or lodgings or where mail is delivered to a central point or to a box used for the receipt of mail addressed to several tenants in the same premises, such as a 'multi-dwellers' residential premises, sub-tenants, sub-agents, etc.

iii. Mail care of (i.e. c/o) another person at a private residential premises.

iv. Mail that is not posted through SingPost.

v. Mail sent by Speedpost Islandwide Courier Service.

vi. Mail sent via incoming Express Mail Service (EMS).

5.3 All applications for the Service must be made on SingPost's prescribed form which is available at any SingPost's post office or retrieved from SingPost's website at http://www.singpost.com.

5.4 Where the Customer is a corporate entity, the application form must be accompanied by an authorization letter bearing the entity's name and rubber stamp and must be duly signed by a manager, director or partner of the entity.

5.5 Where the Customer is an individual, and if more than one (1) person require the Service, all persons applying for the Service must furnish his/her Singapore identity card or passport number. The application form must be duly signed by all the persons named in the said form. Notwithstanding anything contained herein, where there is more than one (1) addressee named on the cover, SingPost shall carry out the Service only if all of the addressees had applied for the Service.

5.6 The Customer must produce his/her Singapore identity card or passport for verification at the time of application for the Service.

5.8 For an application to redirect a deceased person's mail, a certified true copy of the Grant of Probate or Letter of Administration in respect of the deceased's estate must be furnished.

 

6. Termination


6.1 SingPost reserves the right to immediately suspend or terminate the Service if there is any breach by the Customer of any of the terms and conditions herein and SingPost has given fourteen (14) days' notice of such breach and the Customer has failed to rectify such breach within that time.

6.2 The Customer may terminate the Service by giving SingPost at least one (1) week's prior notice in writing. The Customer shall pay an administrative fee of Singapore Dollars Ten (S$10.00)* if the Service is terminated before the expiry of the duration of the Service. The effective termination date shall be as stated in the Customer's written notice or the date of receipt by SingPost of the said written notice, whichever is later.

6.3 Any fees already paid for the Service for the remaining full calendar month(s) after the effective date of termination, shall be refunded to the Customer.

6.4 Upon termination or expiry of the duration of the Service, all mail addressed to the previous address shall be delivered as addressed or disposed of in accordance with the provisions of Postal Services Act (Cap. 237A) and any rules and regulations made thereunder.

6.5 Such action taken by SingPost shall be without prejudice to any other rights or remedies which SingPost may have.

 

7. Address Information

7.1 For the duration of the Service, the Customer shall not change the address for which he requires the Service.

 

8 Consent to Use and Disclose Customer Information and Data

8.1 The Customer agrees that SingPost shall be entitled to use or disclose any information or data disclosed by the Customer in accordance with the SingPost General Terms & Conditions located at the SingPost website at http://www.singpost.com (or available from SingPost on written request). The Customer is entitled to withdraw such consent in accordance with the procedure as prescribed by SingPost from time to time.

 

9 Entire Agreement

9.1 The Customer shall be bound by and shall fully observe and comply with all the SingPost General Terms & Conditions as well as such other terms and conditions as may be agreed between SingPost and the Customer. The rights and protections conferred on SingPost under these Mail Redirection Service Terms and Conditions shall be additional to the rights and protections conferred on SingPost under the SingPost General Terms & Conditions and any other terms and conditions as may be agreed between SingPost and the Customer. In the event that any of these Mail Redirection Service Terms & Conditions are inconsistent with the SingPost General Terms & Conditions, these Mail Redirection Service Terms & Conditions set out herein shall prevail.
