Belgium – Strike

bpost has advised that all inbound and outbound postal items will be subject to delay due to an unannounced industrial action by staff of Avia Partner, one of the ground handling companies at Brussels Airport. Please note that service delays are expected.

Australia – Normal operations in Northern New South Wales

Australia Post has advised that weather warnings across northern New South Wales (postcode areas 2204, 2429, 2460, 2480, 2481, 2482, 2484, 2602, 2605, 2606, 2611, 2612, 2614, 2615, 2780, 2902, 2913 and 2914) have been lifted. All postal services are operating as normal.

Australia – Heavy rainfall

Australia Post has advised that weather warnings have been issued on 27 March across North Queensland (postcodes 4740, 4741. 4750, 4751, and 4798 to 4820). Heavy rainfall is forecast, leading to flash flooding. This will affect the collection and delivery of all mail, causing service delays.

Ecuador – Service delays

The designated operator of Ecuador, Correos del Ecuador CDE E.P., has advised that due to the winter season, several roads have collapsed and there are floods in certain areas of Ecuador.  The delivery of postal items are affected as a result of the bad weather.

At the moment, provinces that present major inconvenience caused by the bad weather are:

Costa: El Oro, Guayas

Sierra: Bolívar, Chimborazo, Pichincha, Azuay

Amazonia: Zamora Chinchipe, Sucumbíos.

Please note that service delays are expected.

USA – Normal Operations
The designated operator of the United States of America, USPS, has advised that major impacts from Winter Storm Stella have subsided, and postal operations have begun to return to normal. Please note that some delays are expected due to the backlogs by several ground handlers.
