     United States of America - Severe Weather
    The United States Postal Services has advised that since 26 January, 2011, severe weather conditions have impacted the south-east, north-central and north-east areas of the United States, including the cities of Washington DC, Philadelphia, New York and Boston. As a result of the heavy snowstorms and widespread infrastructure disruptions, the United States Postal Service is declaring a force majeure. All inbound and outbound mail flows have been affected. Several airports have been closed, and hundreds of flights cancelled.

    United States of America - Normal Operations
    The United States Postal Service has advised that postal operations, which have been disrupted by the severe weather since 10 January, have returned to normal in New York and the north-eastern part of the United States, as well as in the surrounding areas.

    United States of America - Severe Weather
    The United States Postal Service has advised that heavy snowstorms and severe weather conditions severely affecting the south-east and mid-west and parts of the north-east regions of the United States since 10 January 2011 have disrupted inbound and outbound mail flows, including collection and delivery, in the affected areas. Several airports have been closed and hundreds of flights cancelled. More cancellations are expected. Mail services to these affected areas will be subject to delay until further notice.

    United States of America - Normal Operations
    The United States Postal Service has advised that the situation of force majeure caused by heavy snowstorms and blizzard conditions in the north-eastern region of the United States of America has now returned to normal. All mail operations are now proceeding normally.
