    New Zealand - Earthquake

    New Zealand Post has advised that mail and courier deliveries are suspended for at least two days for the Christchurch metropolitan area. Areas that are served by the Christchurch Mail Centre would also be affected due to the closure of the Mail Centre. Alternative sorting arrangements are made.

    Egypt - Normal Operations

    Egypt Post has advised that postal services, which have been affected by the demonstration since 25 January, have been fully resumed.

    Australia - Cyclone

    Australia Post has advised that on 16 February 2011, a cyclone warning was issued in the Northern Territory as Tropical Cyclone Carlos, a category 1 system, reached Darwin. Darwin Airport and the sea port have both been closed, and all non-essential government employees have been advised to stay at home. The postcode areas currently being evacuated and under threat of Cyclone Carlos are 0800-0999. As a result, postal services in the area have been severely impacted.

    United States of America - Normal Operations

    The United States Postal Service has advised that the disruption to postal operations caused by adverse weather conditions since 7 February has ended, and normal operations have resumed.

    Egypt - Partial Resumption of Service

    Egypt Post has informed that postal services, which have been affected by demonstration since 25 January, have partially been resumed.

    Sierra Leone - Strike

    Sierra Leone Post has advised that due to a nationwide strike by postal workers which started on 3 February 2011, its mail operations are affected. It also advised delays in deliveries including Speedpost EMS may be expected until further notice.

    Australia - Cyclone

    Australia Post has advised that it is currently unable to access the following areas in North Queensland - Cairns, Mackay, Townsville and Innisfail as well as in areas with postcodes: 4650 ? 4670; and 4680 ? 4999 due to Cyclone Yasi, Delay in delivery is expected.
    United States of America - Severe Weather

    The United States Postal Service has advised that another big winter storm has hit a large area of the United States, starting in the late afternoon of Tuesday, 1 February and continuing on Wednesday, 2 February. The snow and ice zone has spread eastward from the central plans and lower Missouri Valley, through the southern Great Lakes and northern Ohio Valley, towards New York and the northeast. Severe weather conditions have impacted a wide area including the following cities/areas: Tulsa, Kansas, Des Moines, St Louis, Chicago, Detroit, Indianapolis, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, New York and Boston. As a result of this severe and unprecedented storm, the United States Postal Service is declaring a force majeure situation due to the high winds, heavy snowstorms and snowdrifts and widespread infrastructure disruptions. This latest storm has affected all inbound and outbound mail flows, including collection and delivery in the affected areas. Several airports have already been closed and hundreds of flights cancelled. This same weather disturbance has also caused severe thunderstorms with damaging gusts towards the south, along the Mississippi-Alabama line, and from south-east Louisiana into west-central and south west Georgia and the Florida panhandle; the damage in these areas is still being assessed.
    Egypt - Demonstration

    Egypt Post has advised that it has been unable to provide postal services since 25 January 2011 due to demonstration. This situation is liable to persist until the domestic situation has calmed down. Egypt Post will assume no liability during this period with regard to damages or inquiries concerning mail items (parcels, letters and EMS).

    United States of America - Normal Operations

    The United States Postal Service has advised the situation caused by severe weather since 26 January 2011 has returned to normal.
