United Kingdom - Industrial Action
Industrial action on 30 June 2011 might have an impact on the United Kingdom's (UK) transport infrastructure, including flight services. As such, outgoing international postal items to UK may be subject to delays.

Canada - Normal Operations

Canada Post has advised that postal services, which have been affected by the demonstration since 15 June 2011, have resumed. Canada Post will take some time to clear backlogs and customers may experience some delays in delivery.

Greece - Strike
The postal operator of Greece has advised that due to a 48-hour strike by the Association of Civil Servants and the Confederation of Greek Workers on 28 and 29 June 2011, collection and delivery of international and domestic mail will be affected.

Uruguay - Industrial Action
The postal operator of Uruguay has advised that the Sindicato de funcionarios postales del Correo Uruguayo (Union of workers of the Uruguayan Post) has extended the suspension of inbound international registered mail and small packet services to include parcels and EMS items. Delays are expected for these services.

Australia - Service Delay
Australia Post has advised that an ash cloud which formed following the eruption of the Puyehue-Cordon Caulle volcano in Chile has led to the shutting down of Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide airports on 21 and 22 June. Service delays are expected for both inbound and outbound Speedpost EMS traffic.

Uruguay - Industrial Action

The postal operator of Uruguay advised that the Sindicato de funcionarios postales del Correo Uruguayo (Union of workers of the Uruguayan Post) has announced the suspension of certain services with effect from 20 June 2011. The delivery of international registered mail and small packets will be affected until further notice.

Ethiopia - Volcanic activity
The postal operator of Ethiopia has advised that due to a volcanic eruption in northern Ethiopia, it is unable to send and receive Speedpost EMS items since 13 June 2011.

Canada – Suspension of Service

Canada Post has advised that due to the recent strikes and an accelerating decline in volumes, combined with the inability to deliver mail on a timely and safe basis, it has suspended its operations including the delivery of letter post, parcels and EMS throughout the country until further notice.

Rwanda – Operational Constraint

The postal operator of Rwanda has advised that delay in processing of mail and parcels is expected due to operational constraints. The postal operator has relocated its central services and mail processing centre from the Kacyiru district to central Kigali since 23 May 2011, thereby affecting its operations.

Greece – Strike
The postal operator of Greece has advised that due to a 24-hour strike by the Association of Civil Servants and the Confederation of Greek Workers on Wednesday, 15 June 2011, collection and delivery of international and domestic mail will be affected.

Canada – Strike

The Canada Post has advised that due to a 24-hour strike by the Canadian Union of Postal Workers at Canada Post's Montreal and Toronto facilities, including the offices of exchange, commencing Monday 13 June 2011 at 23.30 (local time), delays are expected for postal items to Canada.

Yemen – Domestic situation

The postal operator of Yemen has advised that due to domestic situation since 23 May 2011, delivery of EMS items will be delayed.

Chile – Volcanic Eruption

Due to a volcanic eruption in Chile, the following airports are temporary closed.

Delays are expected for these destinations.

The postal operator of Peru has advised that its mail operations, which have been affected by the strike since 24 May 2011, have resumed.

Greece - Strike

The postal operator of Greece has advised that due to a 24-hour strike by the Federation of Hellenic Post Employees, starting Thursday 9 June 2011, its mail operations will be affected.

Canada Post has advised that due to a 24-hour rotating strike by the Canadian Union of Postal Workers in Montreal, starting Sunday 5 June 2011 at 23.30 (local time), its incoming and outgoing mail operations in Montreal have been affected.
